OK! How do I get started?

To attend Henderson you must first apply to the University and be admitted. Ths can be accomplished by submitting an admission packet obtained from the Office of University Relations and Admissions or by completing an online admission form.

You must submit the following materials for admission:

  • a completed admission application
  • an Arkansas Certification of Immunization
  • official transcript(s) of previous work
  • standardized test scores

For unconditional admission, freshmen applicants must have an ACT composite (or equivalent) score of 17 or higher and rank in the upper half of their graduating class, or have an ACT composite score of 18. Students who do not meet these ACT requirements may be admitted if they graduate in the upper half of their high school class and complete the college preparatory course of study.

Transfer students may gain admission if they are listed as being in good standing from their previous institution and have at least a 2.00 cumulative GPA based on Henderson's computation of courses.

Complete admission criteria and requirements can be obtained by contacting the Office of University Relations and Admissions. Students are encouraged to apply for admission early so that relevant information can be evaluated and the students status determined. Admission is required in order to apply for financial aid.

Students interested in computer science as a major or minor are also encouraged to contact the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science directly.

Can I transfer coursework into the degree program?

No probelm. Courses completed at an accredited institution will be transferred upon admission to the University. It is strongly recommended, however, that an appointment be scheduled as soon as possible with one of the academic advisors in the department for an evaluation of transfer program credits.
